“I am just an artist making my way through one medium at a time.”

Jacqueline Mack is a multimedia artist who finds inspiration from nature and the unexpected temperament of her materials. My art is a constant evolution, as with my life. A large part of my creative process is spontaneous and experimental. I strive to create from my heart working in many mediums since age two. As the youngest of five children my mother gave me a bucket of water and a large paint brush and had me painting our back porch one summer day. I believe that was the start of my working large. Many art classes and art shows led to my advertising design degree from The Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale. My skills allowed me to design print media, logos and billboards, sandblasting signs, faux finishing homes, restaurants and offices. Creating abstract art with wood and metal I had the opportunity to learn plasma cutting and welding, always working large. I did take a metal jewelry class later in life but ended up creating a double gate for our driveway. Things don’t always turn out as planned and yes happy accidents are sometime my proudest moments. I allow each creation to have a life of its own. Surprise and discovery make creating a grateful journey that never gets old. I have followed my mad scientist nature, exposed myself to fire, chemicals and heights, spent a ton of money creating what I feel with a bright and glossy finish at times, never knowing exactly how my next abstract art will come to be.

From a small town in Oakdale, Pennsylvania to our two acres of pure paradise in Alva, Florida I enjoy each day designing the life I want to live with my creative husband Daniel Alvo who is an amazing wood turner and craftsman…and our latest and greatest fur kid, Boujee.
