Godo

F. Godo, Azarin or Mario Luca is the pseudonym of Mario Themme Canrubi, a highly successful self-taught artist. His paintings are part of some of the finest collections in the world, including those in the United States, England, Italy, and Mexico. Mario Themme Canrubi was born in Iquitos, Peru, in 1969. He lived most of his life in Peru, although he spent an extended period in Argentina and Ecuador, where he studied at the prestigious Escuela de Quito. He also participated in the restoration of the collections of the BCP and the Archdiocese of Lima, Peru. In Ecuador, he also devoted himself to sculpture for a time.

Regarding his academic background, he studied in the workshops of renowned artists such as Tilsa Tsuchylla and Ladislao Plasencki. He also studied art history as an independent student at the Universidad Mayor de San Marcos, and restoration with master Jaime Rosan Valencia. His free and inquisitive spirit allows him to explore and work with new techniques and themes, for which he uses pseudonyms.
